Stamped concrete is one of those things that you just can't miss if someone has done any sort of landscaping or driveway work. It's not like the average person would be able to identify it at a glance, but contractors and other professionals do use this material often times because it does provide an illusion for luxury in many cases without spending all sorts on expensive materials.

The material is simply, as the name infers concrete; however, specialty tradesmen use rubber stamp molds to imprint a stone- or brick-appearing pattern and texture on it. This gives the concrete the look of pavers, tiles flagstones slate worn rock sandstone bricks etcetera. It can be coated with gloss for an extra shine if desired but textured to appear rough like sandstone or old brick too so that's just about where its versatility never ends! A knowledgeable stamped Concrete ct contractor can show you.

tamped concrete is most commonly used for highly visible hardscaped outdoor areas, starting with the driveway and front walkway. But it's also possible to use stamped concrete indoors as well- on a covered porch or sunroom (or even an indoor living space). The color and pattern options are endless, so your substrate can be transformed into something really unique!

For renovation specialists who need to renovate but want their old slab preserved intact underneath all of that beautiful new material...you may have one more option than just replacing this surface entirely: pouring in some overlay of stamped concrete onto top of existing slabs.
